Ticket Types and Information

Tickets are available to purchase online for feature films, shorts programs and online events. All film programs, with the exception of opening night film Donkeyhead, are available to watch on demand from March 8-13. Once you start watching a film or program, you will have 48 hours to finish it. Live events must be watched in real time and will not be able to watch after the event.

Festival passes grant access to all feature films, shorts programs and online events, with the exception of opening night film Donkeyhead. Festival passes can be purchased here.

Ticket FAQs

When and where can I watch the films?
All films are available online March 8-13 and can be watched Canada-wide via watch.viwff.ca.

How long do I have to watch a film?
Once you start watching an on-demand film program, you will have 48 hours to finish watching it.

I can’t make it to a live program, will it be recorded?
Live programs will not be available to watch after the event.

I bought a pass, why can’t I watch Donkeyhead, the opening night film?
Passes do not include Donkeyhead, the opening night film. Tickets for this event are limited and must be purchased separately. Please click here for tickets to the live screening of Donkeyhead.

I’m planning on hosting a movie night, how many tickets should I buy?
Our ticket prices are based on 1-2 people watching per ticket. If you plan on attending with 2 or more people, please consider supporting our festival by purchasing additional tickets.

Who is the concession pricing for?
Concession tickets are offered to make our festival more accessible to those experiencing financial hardship. If you are not experiencing financial hardship, please consider supporting our festival by purchasing full price tickets.

Do you have any free events?
Yes! We are pleased to offer three free events at VIWFF2022:

  • Incite Inclusion Panel
  • Screenwriting Competition Panel 
  •  Awards Ceremony

You can register for these events via the Zoom links above.

I cannot afford tickets but I want to attend the festival.
Please email isha@womeninfilm.ca at least 24 hours prior to a screening to request further discounted tickets.
